Description
Our client is seeking a Senior Logistics Coordinator to lead international freight forwarding operations and provide secondary support for North American freight. This is a highly hands-on, senior-level individual contributor role--ideal for someone who thrives on autonomy, precision, and operational ownership. The successful candidate will independently manage international shipments from quotation through final delivery, ensuring seamless execution with minimal oversight.
What You'll Be Doing
International Freight
Quote and execute international ocean (FCL/LCL) and air freight shipments for both import and export.
Book freight directly with ocean carriers, airlines, and global agents.
Prepare and manage all international shipping documentation and compliance requirements.
Coordinate customs clearance, drayage, inland trucking, and warehousing.
Monitor shipments proactively, manage exceptions, and resolve delays.
Maintain close relationships with carriers and overseas partners.
Provide transparent, timely shipping updates and customer communication.
North American Freight
Support quoting and booking for LTL and FTL shipments across the U.S. and Canada.
Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure pricing and execution accuracy.
Provide backup operational support during peak or coverage periods.
What You Must Have
3-5+ years of freight forwarding experience.
Direct, hands-on international forwarding experience (air and ocean; import and export).
Proven ability to manage end-to-end shipments independently with minimal supervision.
Strong working knowledge of Incoterms, international freight documentation, and carrier/agent networks.
Demonstrated experience quoting and booking North American LTL and FTL freight.
Comfort operating as the sole international forwarding specialist within a logistics team.
