We are seeking a dedicated Senior Living Advisor to join our team atSt Mary's Gardens. The Senior Living Advisor is a vital role within our senior living community as they are responsible for driving sales onsite with the aim to meet and exceed occupancy targets. This sales driven role, will focus on developing and executing strategic plans to maximize profitability and occupancy of the Autumnwood community, along with forming and maintaining positive community outreach initiatives through various outlets, including hospitals and other healthcare providers. The desired candidate is an enterprising, self-motivated sales professional with a drive for results, who has a genuine interest in enriching the lives of Seniors.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field preferred.
2+ years' experience in a business to customer sales environment.
Proven achievement in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Proven experience setting and following through marketing strategies.
Proven experience in sales, marketing, or community outreach, preferably in the senior living industry.
Proven experience in prospecting and closing sales providing an excellent customer experience.
Preference will be given to candidates with sales experience in the retirement living, healthcare, real estate, pharmaceutical, or hospitality related industries.
Good understanding of Microsoft Office.
An affinity for the senior population and a good understanding of their needs.
Familiarity with or willing to become familiar with the standards set out in the Retirement Homes Act, 2010 (RHA) and the function of the Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority (RHRA).
Submission of proof of a negative 1-step Mantoux TB test (within six months of hire) and proof of a 2-step Mantoux TB test (Note: if the 2-step Mantoux TB test is within six months of hire, the 1-step test is not required). Where Mantoux tests are positive, submission of a negative chest x-ray is required.
Police Records Check with Service with the Vulnerable Sector (PRCSVS) completed no later than six (6) months before your date of hire, which is acceptable to the employer.
Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.
Valid driver's license is required.

Tasks and Responsibilities
Achieving and exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual occupancy targets and budgets.
Reporting on and developing strategies to improve upon variances to budget.
Engaging with healthcare providers, business owners and other contacts to build up the sales network and develop client relationships.
Responsible for completing a specific volume of activity (calls, visits, etc.) to attain targets/goals and communicating regularly with various teams internally and conducting regular business reviews with leadership.
Using a relationship-based approach to selling.
Leading all sales activities for the residence including community outreach, prospect advancements, activity tracking and reporting.
Following all sales and marketing policy and procedures.
Develop marketing plans and ongoing review of competitive analysis.
Collaboration with Administrator and other site leadership to customize and enhance the sales experience at your residence.
Maintain Autumnwood's high standards of superior customer service while building and maintaining strong relationships with the local community, current and prospective residents and other stakeholders.
Coordinate all outreach events including trade shows, community seminars, sponsorship and other special events in order to maximize growth and sales potential.
Plan, organize, manage and attend marketing events.
Follow sales, tour and marketing procedures as set out by Autumnwood.
Conduct tours, manage inquiries and perform prompt and appropriate follow up on all inquiries and visits.
When conducting tours:
? Guest Survey; conduct a discovery discussion and document responses from the prospective resident/tenant on the Guest Survey.
? Conduct a tour; customize the tour as much as possible to the information collected during the discovery period.
? End tour by providing a marketing folder to the inquirer/prospective resident or tenant.
? Record prospect in the weekly Traffic Report.
? Determine next steps. Update Prospect Board.
Ensure that all documentation is received and completed for all inquiries. This includes phone inquiries, walk-ins, tours by appointment etc.
Categorize inquiry/prospect information by categories titled "Hot", "Warm" and "Cold".
? "Hot" inquiry - ready to move in one to three months.
? "Warm" inquiry - ready to move in four months to one year.
? "Cold" inquiry - not ready to move for more than one year.
Input all inquirer information into PCC; information should be inputted by the end of each work week.
Work to maximize the number of inquirers that become residents.
Build relationships with all inquirers through contact and creative follow up:
? Immediately after conducting a tour send a personalized Thank-you card to the inquirer/prospective resident/tenant.
? Seven days after every tour, follow up with a phone call to the inquirer.
? One month after the tour, make contact to keep current on status of inquirer.
? Conduct further follow up using the following guidelines:
"Hot" - Follow up should be done at least once every two weeks;
"Warm" - Follow up should be done at least once a month; and
"Cold" - Follow up should be done at least once every three months.
Provide the Administrator and Autumnwood with customer feedback that has been collected during tours.
Provide the Administrator and Autumnwood with input and feedback on pricing and incentive programs.
Provide the Administrator and Autumnwood with information on pricing and incentive programs being used by the competition.
On days worked complete the Daily Traffic Report and provide to the Administrator.
Rent suites and collect deposits:
o Fill out deposit form with new resident;
o Provide the following documentation to the new resident:
Care Home Information Package (CHIP)
Resident Handbook
Copy of signed deposit form
Residency Agreement
Medical Assessment Form
Partially completed 3rd party consent form the doctor will be faxing it directly to us
Landlord Tenant Board Information
o Agree on a move in date.
o Coordinate move in date with the Manager of Environmental Services to ensure suite readiness.
o Maintain regular contact with new resident to confirm the move in date and to answer any questions they may have.
o Coordinate a date for the Functional Assessment with the Administrator or Nursing Supervisor and the new resident.
o Set a date for document signing and communicate this to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the new resident.
o Communicate the new residents/tenants move in date at the SLT meeting to ensure that all departments are prepared for the new residents/tenants arrival.
Work with the Administrative Assistant to maintain Census records.
Keep current and be knowledgeable about Autumnwood's current and up and coming facilities, programs, products and service offerings.
Liaise with the Activity Coordinator to keep current on monthly calendar events which could potentially interest prospective residents/tenants.
Attend SLT meetings.
Be an experience maker for all residents and provide courteous and customer-oriented support to the residence and its visitors.
Keep abreast of relevant market trends and target customer information to maximize sales revenue.
Facilitate a smooth transition for new residents by delegating or coordinating move-ins and communicating key move-in information to team.
Walk tour pathways prior to conducting tours. Ensure model suites and/or show rooms are in proper order and always ready for tours.
Uphold and promote the values and philosophy of Autumnwood.
Complete all other tasks as assigned.
