Key requirements:
a
minimum of 10 years of experience in a litigation practice
, with insurance experience preferred (administrative assistant experience is an asset)
Post-secondary education from a recognized Legal Assistant/Paralegal program
(equivalent experience may be considered)
Highly organized
and
pro-active approach to meeting deadlines
while producing
accurate quality work
Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English with solid spelling and grammar skills
(additional language skills are an asset)
Strong client service and relationship building skills
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
as well as other software such as Worldox, Elite 3E, Remindex, SpeechExec, FoxIt, or similar programs
The hours of work are
Monday to Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM (37.5 hours/week)

Substantial reliability and adaptability accompanied by a professional demeanor and conduct
Keen attention to detail in producing accurate, high-quality work
Adaptability to changing priorities and effectiveness in a high-volume work environment
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills

A curious mind with the ability to learn quickly, retain knowledge, and effectively apply the learning
Understanding of basic accounting principles
