We are currently seeking a Senior Legal Assistant to join our Saskatchewan Real Estate team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist with due diligence searches for transactions including ordering and interpreting title and off-title searches, corporate and ancillary searches;
  • Problem-solving with respect to transactional matters, including title and title issues;
  • Edit and organize all necessary closing documents such as transaction documents;
  • Prepares and/or arranges practice-related documentation, records, or correspondence from dictation, handwritten, and precedent documents;
  • Manage a large workload volume with competing deadlines;
  • Prepare expense and/or cheque requisitions;
  • Prepare docket entry and review pre-bills monthly;
  • Maintain files in accordance with standard procedures, filing electronic and paper documentation/emails;
  • Other duties as assigned.
What you\'ll bring:
  • Community College Certificate/Diploma in a Legal Secretarial/Office Administration program and/or equivalent experience working in a legal professional environment, an asset;
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a Real Estate role within a legal environment;
  • Solid understanding of current legal terminology;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Proficient ability to multi-task and handle competing deadlines and demands;
  • Ability to work independently, exercise initiative and follow instructions with minimal direction and supervision;
  • Ability to work well within a team environment;
  • Superior communication skills and strong ability to adapt communication style, as necessary, when communicating with clients and other team members;
  • Superior typing skills to produce accurate documents on a constant basis;
  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, PreBill Manager, UKG, Aderant.
