Overview


Our client is seeking a proven leader in social work to take on a critical role overseeing family and community support programs. This individual will provide high-level leadership, operational oversight, and direction to ensure the effective delivery of services that strengthen families and communities.

Key Responsibilities



Lead the day-to-day operations of family and community services, ensuring programs are delivered in alignment with professional standards and organizational goals. Provide clear direction, coaching, and mentorship to supervisors and staff, fostering professional growth and accountability. Develop, implement, and evaluate program models and services that strengthen family stability, housing security, and client wellbeing. Monitor and manage budgets, policies, and procedures to support the effective functioning of the program. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and accreditation requirements. Build and sustain strong relationships with government agencies, funders, service providers, and other community partners. Represent the program with professionalism and credibility in meetings, community forums, and collaborative initiatives. Provide leadership during crises or emergency situations, coordinating staff response and ensuring continuity of service. Oversee staffing functions including recruitment, orientation, training, workload planning, and performance management. Prepare accurate reports and presentations for internal leadership and external stakeholders. Champion a culture of integrity, professionalism, and collaboration across the program team.

Qualifications



Registered Social Worker (RSW) designation in good standing is required. 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in social services, housing, or family/community programming. Strong track record in program management, including financial oversight, policy development, and stakeholder relations. Skilled in supervising multidisciplinary teams and managing diverse service delivery needs. Knowledge of case management frameworks, housing supports, and family support interventions. Ability to balance strategic priorities with hands-on operational leadership. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential matters.
