About the Role:
The Head of Carbon Monetization and Trading will lead ClearSky's global carbon trading and monetization strategy, ensuring the company's projects capture maximum value in voluntary and compliance markets. This individual will drive commercial strategy across carbon registries and trading platforms, manage relationships with corporate buyers and intermediaries, and design innovative monetization structures for emerging project types.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute ClearSky's global carbon monetization and trading strategy.
Build and maintain relationships with compliance and voluntary carbon market buyers, brokers, and exchanges.
Lead negotiations on offtake agreements, forward contracts, and structured deals.
Provide insights on market trends, policy developments, and pricing dynamics across ARR, IFM, REDD+, TSB, biochar, DAC, and SAF (etc).
Work with origination and finance teams to align project development timelines with monetization opportunities.
Represent ClearSky at industry forums, registries, and with regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
5+ years in carbon markets, commodity trading, or structured finance.
Relevant education and work experience.
Deep understanding of voluntary and compliance carbon markets.
Proven track record negotiating carbon purchase/sale agreements and completing carbon transactions.
Strong global network across corporate buyers, traders, and investors.
Excellent communication and deal-structuring skills.
