Senior Technical Consultant - Java / IBM Curam

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced

Senior Java Developer

to support large-scale enterprise systems and I&IT transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Java-based development, system integrations, and enterprise architecture, with hands-on knowledge and or experience in IBM Curam or similar case management platforms.

This is an

urgent onsite role

with strong potential for extension beyond the initial one-year term.

Key Responsibilities

Translate technical system specifications into fully functional, tested applications. Develop detailed programming specifications and design scalable, maintainable solutions. Write, generate, and maintain high-quality Java code aligned with architectural and development standards. Compile data-driven programs and conduct unit testing to ensure reliability and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues arising during development, deployment, and production support. Provide technical assistance during system implementation, conversions, and migrations. Design and implement system integrations using REST and SOAP APIs. Incorporate security requirements into solution designs in compliance with industry standards. Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers, QA, and project managers to achieve successful delivery outcomes. Conduct code reviews and support defect resolution across development and testing teams. Provide production support, including incident analysis, root cause analysis, and coordination with support teams.

Technical Expertise (80%)

Proven experience as a

Senior Technical Consultant

in large-scale enterprise environments (1,000+ users). Strong Java expertise, including

Java SE/EE

, object-oriented design principles, and common libraries/frameworks. Solid understanding of software architecture patterns, design principles, and best practices. Hands-on experience or in-depth knowledge of

IBM Curam

, including its framework, architecture, and development tools. Extensive experience with

REST and SOAP-based integrations

. Experience with

Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)

. Cloud architecture experience, particularly with

Microsoft Azure

and

Kubernetes (AKS)

. Proficiency in

Middleware Architecture

,

Data Service Platforms

, and

Service Bus design

. Experience designing and implementing

Open API integrations

. Strong understanding of enterprise security requirements and compliance standards. Experience with

Oracle

, including schema design, SQL querying, and performance tuning.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Experience working in

Agile development environments

Conduct thorough unit testing and code reviews to ensure software quality. Support developers, testers, and end-users to ensure timely resolution of issues.

Must-Have Skills

Advanced proficiency in

Java SE/EE
