The Senior IT Project Manager will be responsible for leading the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of IT-related projects within a structured project management framework. This role requires strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills to manage multiple stakeholders, project teams, timelines, and deliverables. The individual will work in close collaboration with both business and technical teams to ensure projects are aligned with organizational goals, delivered on time and within budget, and meet the expected quality standards.
Required Qualifications
Degree or diploma in
Project Management
or
Business Administration
Certification in one or more of the following:
PMP
(Project Management Professional)
CAPM
(Certified Associate in Project Management)
Project Management Competence Certification
Minimum of 5 years' demonstrated experience
managing IT projects
Strong proficiency with
project management tools
and
Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to lead diverse technical teams and manage multiple concurrent initiatives
Excellent organizational, communication, and risk management skills
Responsabilities:
Leading project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure activities
Developing and maintaining detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations
Managing risks, issues, scope changes, and stakeholder expectations
Producing high-quality documentation and project deliverables using Microsoft Office tools and project management software
Collaborating with cross-functional IT and business teams to achieve successful project outcomes
Reporting progress to leadership and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
Prior experience with public-sector clients is an asset, particularly the
BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTI)
