What is the opportunity?
Reporting to the Manager, Investigations, Reconciliations Services, this position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in the capacity of a senior investigations officer, and is a key contact as an escalation and information resources to the Nostro investigations team, to ensure timely resolution of investigations, loss prevention and risk mitigation.
What will you do?

  • Apply solid knowledges and good judgement in investigations and compensations of Nostro accounts, trade settlement transactions, to investigate and resolve designated items.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders in the handling and resolution of inquiries and discrepancies and deliver high quality, timely services.
  • As subject matter expert of the Nostro investigations team, manage complex cases and provide assistance and guidance to peer team members under prescribed guidelines, ensuring department goals are met by the team.
  • Identify, mitigate and escalate queries that represent a potential loss to the bank. Ensure that management is kept informed of potential risks/losses.
  • Identify process of improving, streamlining opportunities and report to management timely. Support the process of procedures creating, updating and maintaining.
What you need to succeed?
Must-have
  • University degree or College Diploma preferably in business, finance, accounting related fields.
  • Solid understanding of Capital Markets treasury operations, trade activities and settlement process.
  • Good knowledge of international banking procedures, Payment SWIFT messaging process and requirements.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, time management and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable using various technology applications and systems.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Teamwork and collaboration.
Nice-to-have
  • Good knowledge of RBC Capital Markets systems such as INTELLITRACS, INTELLIMATCH, BESS, RIMMS, StorQM, PeopleSoft.
  • Proven experiences and abilities in leading and coaching a team.
  • French language proficiency
