Our Vancouver office is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join our Team!

Arcadis is seeking a senior interior design professional, a key client facing team member who presents interior design concepts and approaches to our clients. Someone who is experienced working with integrated teams and who sees the beauty of both the architecture and interior design. This position would best suit an individual who has the drive and ambition to work on a range of design projects such as multi-residential, hospitality, corporate, commercial and institutional projects. Your contribution working with our clients and your teammates will allow you to stretch professionally as well as leave a lasting legacy!

The successful candidate must have a passion for design, be creative, organized and self-motivated and will help lead projects from the initial conceptual design phase, through to contract documentation, implementation and close-out. Working with a variety of clients and trades, this candidate must be capable of clear communication to effectively manage projects from commencement to completion.

Although this position is "hybrid" which incorporates office time and working from home, the successful candidate must be located within a one-hour drive from our downtown office to accommodate site visits and client meetings.

Our Global Architecture & Urbanism Division combines the expertise of IBI\'s Buildings and Placemaking practice, our Places\' capabilities, and CRTKL\'s multi-sector design leadership to offer a diverse range of solutions focusing on human-centric design, sustainability, and technology.

Role Accountabilities:

As the successful candidate for this role, you will develop and coordinate exceptional detailed design concepts and leadership, and utilize your ability to develop functional requirements and an inspirational approach to meet project-design criteria. With input from the Project Lead, you will oversee the interior design process and deliverable, establish project direction and work within project budgets and schedules. It will be important that you are able to manage multiple projects and a team of designers, in order to deliver all phases of the project, along with having the ability to coordinate with contractors as well as: mechanical, electrical, structural, lighting, audio-visual, and the client.

As a well experienced Senior Interior Designer, you will effectively review preliminary space plans and designs concepts to ensure code, accessibility and functional requirements are being met, apply your contract administration understanding and strong project management expertise to produce innovative design concepts that meet the client and project needs, while also respecting the project budget.

Ultimately, you will promote design excellence through the spirit of team collaboration and innovation!

Qualifications

  • A professional degree/diploma in Interior Design
  • 7+ years of corporate interiors focused project experience
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Adobe Suite
  • Understanding of 3D visualization software (would be a plus)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding BC Building Code as well as LEED
  • Problem solving skills, attention to detail, and motivation to learn
  • Strong organizational, technical and project management skills with an ability to collaborate with team members and follow instructions
  • Strong ability to manage clients and build relationships
  • NCIDQ or in process to NCIDQ certification

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 per year.
