(On-site - Surrey, BC)

If you answered \'Yes!\', then our client in Surrey, British Columbia, has an immediate contract employment opportunity for you! We are searching for a Senior IT Infrastructure Administrator for a 3 to 6 month term in Surrey, British Columbia to support existing IT infrastructure, while working with a team in Alberta to modernize the network, servers, workstations, mobility, and M365 infrastructure. Hours of work are from Monday to Friday, during standard business hours, with a possibility of full-time employment for the ideal candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Setup and installation of IT infrastructure in line with corporate and project objectives.
  • Maintain all on-premises and cloud server hardware and network infrastructure.
  • Provide support and administration for third party security applications and hardware.
  • Perform regular infrastructure reviews to ensure patching is complete and systems are not compromised.
  • Support deallocation of infrastructure in line with company policy and applicable regulations.
  • Firewall installation, configuration, and ongoing management.
  • Assist with wireless network management.
  • Assist with secure remote access, including VPN.
  • Ensure data center cleanliness and cabling standards are met.
  • Monitor sharing of company data to ensure it is compliant with company policy.
  • Provide infrastructure support for application development for secure storage of source code, application deployment routines, backups, and user training.
  • Active directory domain management including local domains and Azure AD.
  • O365 tenant management.
  • Development and implementation of Intune conditional access policies.
  • Development and implementation of server and storage device backup and retention.
  • Assist with third party applications to facilitate SSO.
Requirements:

Candidate MUST have the following qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science or similar equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 10+ years of relevant work experience with a focus on network, server, and system administration
  • Experience with a focus on customer service providing Service Desk and Deskside support to end users.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Servers and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience supporting Windows 7, 10, and 11 environments.
  • Proficiency supporting end users with M365, Office 2019, and Office 2013.
  • Proven experience managing Windows Server, VMWare, Hyper-V, AD, Exchange, M365, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Experience managing storage and data backup systems.
  • Solid networking skills (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP , firewalls, switches, and access points).
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Understanding of cloud computing with a focus on Azure and AWS.
The following experience will be considered an asset to this role:
  • IT certifications, such as: ITIL, MCSE, MCSA, CCNA, CCNP, etc.
  • Experience with Veeam
  • Powershell
  • Experience with MDM and MAM systems and solutions
  • Relational database and SQL knowledge
  • Experience managing multi-stakeholder, fast-moving and complex projects.
Additional Requirements:
  • After hours and on call availability as needed.
  • Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and reliable personal transportation.
  • Ability to lift computers, servers, and peripheral devices.
