Overview / Responsibilities

Wood Canada Limited is hiring a Senior Industrial Architect based out of our St. John\xe2\x80\x99s, NL office. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced professional who enjoys working in an open and collaborative environment, with team spread across geographical regions in Canada and abroad.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Engineers, Technologists and Project Managers, producing deliverables for a wide range of Industrial project types
• Independently produce designs for conceptual, schematic, detailed, and construction drawings that include, site plans, floor plans, demolition plans, renovation plans, roof plans, exterior elevations, interior sections, wall sections, details, schedules, etc.

Skills / Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Architect must be registered in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador (ANBNL)
• Excellent understanding of the Canadian Building Codes and By-Laws
• 25+ years experiance working as an Architect
• Exceptional communication skills and fluent in English
• Ability to work in design development, construction document and contract administration phases
• Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, mechanical, electrical consultant\xe2\x80\x99s documents and coordinate all aspects of the project independently with minimal supervision
• Strong organizational skills along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments
• Strong communication skills along with excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities
• A willingness to work in a team environment with members located in different geographical regions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team environment
• Ability to work in multiple projects simultaneously
