Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this position acts as a strategic partner ensuring alignment between business operations and HR practices that support the achievement of business objectives and enable a positive employee experience.
Provides human resources advice, counsel, and recommended solutions to managers and employees.
Executes HR programs and policies in support of the people strategy regarding performance management, training and development, compensation, employee relations, recognition and engagement.
Partners with Leaders and Talent Acquisition Specialist to align and execute on the workforce plan, ensuring pipeline of talent for the organization.
Facilitates career development action planning and succession planning in partnership with leaders identify high potential employees and ensure internal bench strength.
Create and execute engagement and retention initiative action plans in partnership with the business.
Assists with the roll out of HR strategies and initiatives including creation of communication plans, prepares and delivers required communications, presentations and correspondence
Participates in and/or leads specific projects or initiatives in support of the people strategy as required
Post Secondary Education in HR, Business, or Equivalent.
Demonstrated years experience in HR across a complex business
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrated ability to build trust and partnership with both business leaders and employees
Experience in manufacturing or agricultural industry preferred
CPHR or Equivalent Designation preferred
