We are seeking an experienced and strategic

Senior Human Resources Manager

to lead and oversee all aspects of human resources across a multi-location, multi-business organization. This role plays a key part on the leadership team and is responsible for aligning HR strategy with business goals, ensuring compliance, strengthening employee engagement, and supporting sustainable growth.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR leader with deep knowledge of employment legislation, payroll, benefits, safety, and HR systems, who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment.

Key Responsibilities



Strategic HR Leadership



Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of HR policies, procedures, and programs aligned with organizational goals and core values Serve as a senior advisor to leadership on HR strategy, workforce planning, and employee relations Partner with department leaders on organizational structure, compensation strategies, and talent planning

HR Operations & Compliance



Oversee all aspects of payroll processing, reporting, and compliance Ensure compliance with employment standards, labour laws, and WCB requirements Develop, maintain, and monitor Joint Occupational Health & Safety (JOHS) programs and committees Manage and monitor return-to-work (RTW) and accommodation plans

Recruitment, Onboarding & Retention



Collaborate with department leaders to develop recruitment strategies, including participation in the Temporary Foreign Worker (TFW) program Oversee onboarding programs, employment contracts, and HR documentation Design and implement employee engagement and retention initiatives

Employee Relations & Engagement



Act as a trusted point of contact for employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations Develop and administer employee engagement surveys, analyze results, and partner with leadership to implement action plans Support a positive, inclusive, and values-driven workplace culture Planning, coordination, oversight and evaluation of company events

Benefits & Total Rewards



Design and administer employee benefit programs Review benefit plans annually to optimize cost, utilization, and employee value Support employees in navigating benefits and available wellness resources

HR Systems & Reporting



Lead HRIS administration and optimization (including system implementations) Maintain accurate employee records and HR reporting to support compliance and decision-making

Qualifications & Experience



Minimum 5 - 8 years of progressive Human Resources experience in a managerial capacity, ideally in food processing, manufacturing, or a similar operational environment Proven experience supporting multi-location or multi-business organizations Strong working knowledge of BC employment legislation, payroll compliance, and WCB Understanding and knowledge of the Temporary Foreign Worker Program through the IRCC Experience implementing and managing HRIS platforms Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to influence at all organizational levels Post-secondary education in Business, Human Resources, or a related field (Diploma or Degree)
