About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on, strategic, and execution-driven Senior Healthcare Accreditation Lead to support the organization through a comprehensive accreditation journey. This individual will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and aligning policies, procedures, documentation systems, and readiness frameworks across the organization.
The ideal individual brings proven experience writing and implementing policies, leading quality initiatives, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within small- to mid-sized healthcare or virtual care environments. This role requires a unique combination of strategic insight, practical execution, and the ability to translate accreditation standards into clear operational tools and processes.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, write, and implement policies and procedures aligned with accreditation standards.
Support the development and maintenance of documentation management systems, including version control, accessibility, and compliance.
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure operational practices are aligned with accreditation requirements.
Lead readiness activities and support change management efforts to foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Monitor progress toward accreditation milestones and assist with audit and survey preparation.
Identify gaps in existing systems and develop actionable plans and documentation to address them.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or related field.
Master's degree or equivalent experience in quality improvement or accreditation is preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare quality, policy development, accreditation, or compliance roles within a small- to mid-sized healthcare or virtual care organization.
Strong knowledge of Accreditation Canada standards or equivalent frameworks (e.g., Qmentum, Primer).
Demonstrated expertise in policy and procedure development and documentation management systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
Ability to work independently as both a strategic thinker and a hands-on contributor.
Proven ability to translate accreditation standards into clear operational workflows and tools.
Experience supporting organizational readiness and driving a culture of quality improvement.
Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
Flexible, resourceful, and comfortable navigating evolving priorities and timelines.
Proficiency with documentation and policy management tools such as SharePoint, OneTrust, and Excel, including version control, evidence tracking, and readiness reporting.
