Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable web applications and backend services Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality solutions Lead architectural decisions and contribute to the technical roadmap Ensure code quality through reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration Optimize application performance and scalability Mentor junior developers and promote best practices in software development Integrate third-party APIs and internal systems securely and efficiently Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Strong experience in NextJS or React development Proficiency in Python programming with exposure to FastAPI Competency in unit testing frameworks such as Pytest and Jest Background in AWS Athena usage Advanced skills in SQL scripting Strong written and verbal English communication skills (B2+)

Nice to have

Experience with PostgreSQL database management Knowledge of AWS cloud services including RDS, MWAA, ALB, EC2 Expertise in infrastructure as code using Terraform Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker Skills in CI/CD implementation with GitHub Actions and strong version control with Git

This posting includes a base salary range EPAM Canada would reasonably expect to pay the selected candidate. Individual compensation offers within the range are based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, training, the demand for the role, skillset, and overall business and local labour market considerations. Most candidates are hired at a salary within the range disclosed. Salary range: CA$120,000 - CA$140,000.
