Job Description

We are seeking an experienced

Full Stack Developer

to join our dynamic public sector team to design, develop, and maintain large-scale, multi-client web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience across both front-end and back-end technologies, along with a deep understanding of scalable web architectures, DevOps practices, and REST API design.

This role involves designing, implementing, and continuously enhancing data pipelines, web architectures, and API integrations. The candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines and full-stack web solutions. Translate technical specifications into fully functioning, tested applications. Develop, test, debug, and document application code following structured methodologies. Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems during development and post-deployment. Participate in design walkthroughs, code reviews, and application performance tuning. Ensure all solutions meet accessibility standards (AODA/WCAG). Contribute to DevOps pipelines and continuous integration/deployment workflows. Work collaboratively with IT professionals, stakeholders, and business teams.

Required Skills and Experience

Core Technical Skills (40%)

10+ years as a full stack designer/developer on large-scale, multi-client web applications. 10+ years of hands-on Java development with Oracle or SQL databases. 5+ years of experience developing with REST APIs, React, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Node.js. Proven experience with microservice architecture and applying core architecture principles. Familiarity with RXJS, Next.js, or Vue.js frameworks. Experience with WCAG and AODA compliance. Responsive web development expertise. Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps.

Technical Knowledge (35%)

Strong understanding of JWT, OAuth2.0, and SSL security protocols. Proficiency with Agile methodologies and modern development practices. Expertise in object-oriented coding, design patterns, and refactoring. Knowledge of modern architecture styles (event-driven, reactive, message-oriented). Experience or knowledge in blockchain and smart contract development (Solidity preferred).

Soft Skills (20%)

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Proven ability to collaborate in large, multi-disciplinary teams. Adaptive to change, capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.

Public Sector Experience (5%)

Familiarity with OPS development standards and processes is an asset.

Pay: From $70.00 per hour
