We've built and field-tested a prototype. Now we're ready to turn it into a polished, downloadable product--and we need someone exceptional to help lead that charge.

You'll be the first dedicated software developer on our team with an opportunity to shape the tech stack, product, and potentially lead future hires.

What You'll Be Doing

Add advanced measurement tools to our existing interface. Build or integrate a software licensing system. Package the software for download and offline use. Build out user account functionality and local file saving. Enhance the ability to import and visualize 3D data (point clouds and mesh files)--including pan, zoom, rotate, and measurement tools. Improve the report export functionality (e.g., CSV, PDF). Help define and stabilize the tech stack. Optionally, help plan for scaling the development team in the future.

Libraries like Three.js, VTK, PCL, Open3D, or similar. Building measurement tools (distances, flatness, deviations from best-fit planes, etc.). Distributing desktop software (Windows focus). API integration (e.g., Stripe). Experience with automated testing and integrating customer feedback Building authentication and file management features. Working independently, managing a product lifecycle, and proposing solutions.

Bonus Skills

UI/UX for technical or industrial tools. CAD/NDT experience or engineering/manufacturing software background. Familiarity with 3D scanning tools or inspection workflows. Experience working with CAD, NDT/NDE workflows, or manufacturing inspection software. DevOps or cloud-sync experience (e.g., backing up inspection files).

New Asset (Not Required)

Experience managing or supporting IT services in-house is considered an asset. We're open to candidates who can also help us reduce our reliance on outsourced IT by managing systems internally.

Why Work With Us?

Be part of a product with real industrial impact. Get in early on a software product that's already been field-tested and validated. High autonomy and influence over design and architecture. Flexible hours and remote-friendly. Profit-sharing potential as the product grows. Opportunity to lead dev team growth.

To Apply

Please send your resume and portfolio or GitHub link to admin@myeng.ca. Bonus points if you include a quick note on your experience with 3D data, visualization tools, or related projects.
