Position: Senior Front End - Software Developer
Duration: 5-month assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement - B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.
About the Engagement
Akkodis is seeking an experienced Front-End Software Developer to design, develop, and implement user interfaces for large-scale enterprise applications. The role involves translating technical specifications into tested applications, ensuring compliance with OPS standards and AODA accessibility requirements.
Scope
Design and develop front-end code and user interfaces for complex systems.
Translate technical specifications into working, tested applications.
Develop programming specifications, write/generate code, and conduct unit tests.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during implementation and migration.
Collaborate with IT professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
Assignment Deliverables
Develop responsive, cross-browser compatible web interfaces.
Ensure compliance with AODA/WCAG 2.0 AA standards.
Provide user and system documentation as required.
Conduct design walkthrough sessions with project teams.
Expertise Required
Must Have:
10+ years of experience with Java programming, including IDE tools (Eclipse, IBM RAD/RSA) and WebSphere v8.5+.
Front-end expertise: React (5+ years), JavaScript (10+ years), TypeScript (5+ years), HTML5/CSS (5+ years).
Experience with responsive web application development and cross-browser compatibility.
Database proficiency: Oracle DB (11G+), SQL (5+ years) including tables, views, stored procedures.
Accessibility compliance: Demonstrated experience with AODA/WCAG 2.0 AA standards.
Strong soft skills: Analytical problem-solving, leadership, collaboration, and excellent communication.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Social Media APIs, product strategy, and roadmap definition.
Knowledge of RAD methodologies and middleware/gateways.
Familiarity with OPS standards and practices.
Security Clearance
