Job Description

A brilliant opportunity exists for an outstanding individual capable of fitting into this very rewarding Senior FPGA Digital Electronics Designer role. Our client, a leading medical device company, is looking to hire someone who can bring added value to the team. If you're dedicated, energetic and detail-oriented, this could be the perfect role for you. Responsibilities include:

1) Lead the design and development of FPGA data acquisition firmware for imaging systems and contribute to everything from toplevel product architecture to lowlevel coding

2) Collaborate with and provide guidance to the Hardware Engineering Team to improve the design and development of the system's electrical and mechanical components, recommend product changes and enhancements to improve performance

3) Evaluate the final electrical designs to ensure the requirements are met

4) Write and execute simulation and performance testing to evaluate the performance and reliability of software test plans

5) Collaborate with internal contacts to understand device requirements and achieve development goals

6) Maintain and modify existing applications to resolve problems and improve device capabilities and performance

7) Mentor, guide and support less experienced developers

8) Assist with product demonstrations for investors, potential customers, members of the company's advisory boards and support conferences and trade shows

9) Participate in, and adhere to, health and safety initiatives and requirements

Critical Requirements

1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the medical device industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in engineering

Compensation and Other Details

Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
