We are looking for a dedicated

Senior Fisheries Biologist

to join Ecofish Research Ltd. And Minnow Environmental, both Trinity Consultants Canada Teams. WONDERING WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?





Your role will require you to bring a high standard of scientific excellence to your daily work. The following responsibilities will be in your domain.



Lead and support the planning and implementation of fisheries and aquatic habitat assessment projects across Canada. Conduct assessments focused on fish habitat, fish communities, and population health, integrating elements such as geomorphology, limnology, hydrology, and water/sediment quality. Contribute fish and fish habitat expertise to large multi-disciplinary projects in collaboration with our other senior staff. Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing within the aquatic sciences team. Represent Ecofish Research Ltd. And Minnow Environmental in the scientific community through high-quality deliverables, industry engagement, and participation in technical conferences.

FOR.





Advanced degree in a relevant field. R.P.Bio. or eligible. Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, including fish collection using various methods, fish community characterization, and assessment of fish population and health data. Experience in habitat characterization for Fisheries Act Authorizations and specialist-level knowledge of habitat requirements for Canadian freshwater fish species. Effective analytical and technical editing and review skills, and ability to ensure the delivery of high-quality reports and proposals. Ability to communicate complex scientific information clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, to diverse audiences including team members, clients, regulators, and stakeholders. Excellent time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality, excellence, and ethics. Hands-on expertise in planning and conducting aquatic field programs using a variety of sampling techniques; familiarity with QA/QC protocols and data integrity standards. Competent with Microsoft programs and statistical software packages. Experience in the mining sector an asset.
