The Corix team has an opportunity for a Senior Financial Planning Analyst-Remote based our of Langley, BC. This position provides analysis and variance reporting, creating and maintaining long-range financial and capital planning models, and works with the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis to improve efficiency for a team of FP&A Analysts. Also acts as the team\'s lead contact for regulatory support and filings, and software customization, implementation and testing.

What you\'ll do

• Develop and maintain financial planning, pricing and valuation models for use in regulatory support and management decision making.
• Prepare business unit financial reporting, rolling forecast updates and variance analysis of operating and capital budgets.
• Provide regulatory support by organizing and responding to data and discovery requests, preparing regulatory reports and filings, and providing financial and research support in rate cases.
• Monitor accounting team\'s reporting processes, developing and implementing modifications to improve standardization and efficiency, and reviews and approves prepared financial statements, reports, intercompany payments and monthly reconciliations
• Identify opportunities for standardization in data, reports, and internal controls, and develops processes focused on optimizing the ease with which data and reports from each business unit/division can be integrated and improving processing methods, workflows, procedures and reporting efficiencies
• Coordinate and review monthly results by business unit including variance reporting and analysis of actual to budget/forecasts, also responsible for completeness and analysis of monthly financial consolidation reporting of select Canadian Utilities business units
• Coordinate and prepare the reporting and analysis of annual operating and capital budgets and monthly rolling forecasts for Utility Operations
• Maintains the utility rate models and identifies gaps between allowed and achieved returns.
• Direct and review scheduled and special reports, including forecasting, operating results, year-end audit and tax working papers, regulatory reports, statistical reports, and surveys, and provides and presents analysis as directed
• Provide support, training and mentorship to FP&A Analysts, reviewing prepared reports and documents and providing feedback
• Perform other related duties as required

What you bring

Education / Experience:

• Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Completion of a recognized professional program, such as MBA, CPA, CA, CGA, CMA, CFA or equivalent
• 5 years related experience
