Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst - with SUCCESSION PLAN
Industry Sector: Advertising, Media and Marketing
Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 + benefits
Location: Hybrid Toronto (mainly remote)

Our client in the marketing and advertising industry is hiring an Senior Financial Analyst.

About our client:
This company is a North American industry leader in integrated marketing solutions. They are stable and successful and needing to hire a Senior Financial Analyst to work alongside the Accounting Manager and report into the Controller. This role has a quick succession plan to Assistant Controller and Controller within a 2 year period.

The main responsibilities of this role will be to manage the financial operations of the business which include and not limited to the preparation of the financial reports, month-end close, cash management and cash forecasting. Duties included but not limited to:

• Prepare month-end and year end financial statements, and reports with commentary on performance on the various lines of business
• Monthly variance analysis compared to budget and forecast
• Assist in the preparation of the budget presentation to the board of directors
• Prepare and provide recommendations for weekly cash management report and short term forecast to management
• Coordinate and oversee the preparation of year-end audit working papers including assets, liabilities, revenues and expenditures
• Work closely with the external audit team
• Maintenance of manuals documenting procedures and policies

About the candidate:

• CPA, designation is preferred but not required
• 8+ years of experience in Senior Accounting or Analysis roles and ready to move into Controllership role within 2 years
• Strong leadership skills and a desire to manage a small team
• Multi entity reporting experience is preferred
• Private Equity or US ownership experience is preferred
• Knowledge of GAAP, practices, tax laws, and reporting requirements is a MUST
• Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures
