An exciting opportunity exists to join as a Senior Finance Analyst in the Wireless Service & Equipment Finance team. This position will be responsible for creating and maintaining Tableau dashboard that including dashboard design, creation, master data file building, data mining and measuring service & equipment revenue /usage KPIs and be able to be as story teller. Candidates will work very closely with various teams to provide value-added analysis on Wireless Revenue.

The Sr. Finance Analyst will be based in Toronto and will provide expert data management to Wireless Service & Equipment Finance.

What you\'ll do:

  • This role is responsible for finance reporting, tracking delivery, creating insightful performance reports.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication and presentation skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Use advanced analytics tools (SAS, SQL, Databricks, Python) and methodologies to analyze data from different sources and provide key insights on tight schedules often within an ambiguous environment.
  • Design and perform weekly and monthly financial score cards visually (Tableau) for wireless service & equipment finance, including insights of key drivers
  • Provide standard reporting support, which includes the ability to extract and analyze large and complex data sets from various source systems and data stores by performing coding and system parameter setting
  • Responsible for writing queries, filtering and transforming data into meaningful reports for Financial analysis and Pricing, Commercial strategy and Sales teams.
  • Process and analyze data to support business case analysis and ad-hoc requests. Define data requirements and ensure accuracy of data pulls
  • Perform ad-hoc queries and develop / automate financial / statistical models using a variety of software applications (Excel, SAS/SQL,Python, Tableau); provide recommendations and insights
  • Investigate and help resolve possible data corruption and discrepancies
  • Liaise with IT to understand best sources of data and tables
  • Lead special projects / ad-hoc assignments as required
What you\'ll have:
  • The candidate must be insights-driven leader, patient, flexible, enjoy a fast-paced environment, dedicated to customer satisfaction and team oriented
  • 3+ years experience dealing with data analytics and business intelligence, preferably in the telecommunications industry
  • 3+ years experience with oracle & cloud environment
  • Advanced experience in designing and creating Tableau dashboard or other BI tools
  • Advanced experience in SAS, SQL, Python, Excel & data mining software
  • Experience in Machine learning practical experience
  • Experience in working with financial/marketing information including business cases, KPIs
  • Hands-on experience in analytical techniques such as attribution modeling, testing, reporting design of experiment
  • University degree in Computer science, Mathematics, or related field
  • Knowledge of database architecture fundamentals and best practices
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) to interact effectively with senior leadership
  • Ability to tell a story from the data
  • Ability to construct datasets, ensure data quality and perform quantitative / basic statistical analysis
  • Team player with ability to collaborate in cross functional teams and build trust
