What you will do:
  • Perform complex tasks to complete financial/accounting projects, such as budget planning/analysis, financial plans, revenue forecasting, statistical reporting
  • Perform analyses to support the review and interpretation of business segment financials and department level performance to revenue/operating income targets
  • Perform analyses necessary to identify the root cause of income statement and balance sheet variances, prepares financial reports, maintains/validates accounting records and monthly/quarterly/yearend reporting
  • Support various internal customers in developing annual budgets and monthly forecasts
  • Provide quality analytical information to internal customers to support business decisions
  • Assist internal customers by proactively monitoring and analyzing current and long-term performance trends of individual business units
  • Establish and maintain systems to analyze and report key performance metrics to aid management in the identification of improvement opportunities and internal best practices
  • Develop business cases for various initiatives and/or new products
  • Participate in presentations to internal/external senior leadership and assists with the completion of required follow-up work. Interact with various senior managers for ad-hoc projects
  • Provide (non)routine responses to moderately complex and complex requests from auditors during internal/external audits.
What we are looking for:
  • Excellent financial modeling skills
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Must be detail-oriented, with excellent planning and organizational skills to provide accurate, fact-based analysis in a timely manner
  • Ability to investigate and assess issues to make certain the correct solution is implemented
  • Willingness to take ownership for work and to continuously improve performance
  • Ability to work with minimal instruction on day-to-day work and general instructions on new assignments
  • Ability to follow all company policies and procedures as well as internal departmental procedures to ensure consistency
  • Ability to work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Ability to networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise
  • Excellent communication and writing skills with ability to effectively communicate financial information to senior management
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Access, Oracle Financial
  • Ability to accommodate unusual work hours in peak load periods
  • Accounting designation (CPA) and/or MBA with focus in finance (preferred)
  • Experience with Hyperion Planning (preferred)
  • Experience working with SQL databases. Big Data experience is an asset (Google BigQuery) (preferred)
  • Prior experience in payment processing industry (preferred)
