The Telus Business Solution (TBS) Wireline Finance team is a dynamic and highly engaged team that values diversity of thought and collaboration. We provide financial leadership for internal customers, such as the Product, Marketing, Sales and Operational teams, and act as a trusted partner to help them achieve business success.

The Centre of Excellence (COE) is an engaged team with a big mandate. Joining our team will give you the opportunity to learn about all aspects of our business. Our areas of focus include: Financial Business Intelligence, Process and Control Improvements, and Profitability Initiatives.

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will primarily identify complex business challenges and help achieve operational and strategic goals. Our team is looking for YOU - someone just as motivated about people as they are about financial analysis! You will be the business partner to a diverse group of leaders, including senior executives. You will connect the dots between our day-to-day activities and the broader TELUS strategy, to identify and solve important business challenges that are critical to our success.

Qualifications

You\'re the missing piece of the puzzle

• Skills: Sought out for your deep understanding of GAAP and IFRS. You are also highly proficient with Microsoft (MS) Excel, MS PowerPoint, SAP & Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Sheets & Slides)
• Data and Process Lover: You love digging into business and financial processes. You\'ll analyze and seek out new trends - all in pursuit of getting the best possible insights. You are an Excel and Google Sheets whiz and are comfortable combining data from multiple sources
• Storyteller: Regarded as an exceptional communicator, able to \xe2\x80\x9ctell the story\xe2\x80\x9d, influence partners from all levels, and adapt your messaging for varying audiences
• Curious: You are naturally inquisitive and have a desire for continuous learning
• Process Design: You are able to map out a complex business process, to help support our Business Partners increase accountability, transparency and optimize profitability
• Adaptable: You are not fazed by the need to shift and experiment, as priorities change and new challenges are identified
• Team Player: Building collaborative relationships with cross functional teams comes naturally to you
• Visionary: You see the bigger picture of the problem you\'re trying to solve, and will proactively seek out new data points to complement your analysis

Qualifications

• Valued for your 7+ years of progressive experience in finance related positions supporting a large business group and senior leaders
• Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
• Professional accounting designation (e.g.CPA and/or CFA)

Great-to-haves

• SAP knowledge
• In-depth understanding of the TELUS business, particularly Wireline
