Senior Financial Analyst, Regulatory Affairs

We are looking for a dynamic individual with exceptional customer service and technical skills. Working in a non-routine and complex environment, the Senior Financial Analyst, Regulatory Affairs is accountable for ensuring that the regulatory reporting requirements are reported in a timely and accurate manner and will support the Director, Regulatory Strategy and Privacy Officer.

Accountabilities include:
  • Assist in the preparation of regulated and mandated submissions, related projects, and analysis to ensure compliance
  • Work collaboratively with the Finance team for adherence to regulatory rules and standards, and assist in analytics where necessary
  • Provide and present key benchmarking analytics
  • Conduct reviews of new governmental regulations updates, and outline the related impacts and requirements
  • Complete monthly and annual analysis, reconciliation, preparation, and submission of required documentation for required filings
  • Assist in MFIPPA requirements and related compliance
  • Prepare regulatory reports for all related government agencies
  • Participate and engage in provincial and federal regulated and compliance associations
  • Coordinate responses to data requests and responses for regulatory and government agencies
  • Assist with budget preparation and analysis for annual business planning purposes
Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
  • University Degree in Business Administration/Finance, Accounting, or Commerce or equivalent relevant work experience, CPA designation preferred
  • 5-7 years\' Financial, Regulatory, or Business Analyst experience required
  • Solid financial and business acumen, skilled in policy, with the ability to interpret legislation and regulations
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively deliver/disseminate regulatory changes and financial information
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with a clear focus on the delivery of excellent customer service
  • Experience analyzing large volumes of data and converting them into quantitative and qualitative information for evidence-based business decisions
