Job Description
The Senior Financial Analyst will control, plan, analyze, measure and report on finance & accounting functions of all operating entities of the Company.
- Attend and prepare for weekly and monthly meetings with the president to report on cash flow and company performance (i.e. actual vs budget)
- Prepare cash flow projections
- Arrange project financing
- Arrange banking financing for each project
- Monitor project budgets and input budgets into system
- Analyze offer and profit sheets
- Input sales, closing, profits and comparing budgets per lot
- Arrange for the preparation of the annual financial statements and the filing of corporate tax returns
- Overhead tracking and yearly review
- Supervise Accounts Payable Clerks in regards to cheque runs and assist with problems as they arise
- Monitor investments of surplus funds

- CPA designation or nearing completion of CPA
- 3-5 years of experience in a Finance department in the construction industry
- Excellent relationship building with a strong customer focus and a collaborative working style
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Experience with Newstar is considered an asset
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills including regular use of functions, pivot tables, etc.
