Senior Financial Analyst - Stores (1 Year Contract)

to drive strategic decision-making through impactful financial analysis. What You'll Do:



Leverages a variety of data sources and partners with Store Operations department to perform complex data and trend analysis to support leadership in making informed, timely decisions regarding store activities (e.g. payroll, discretionary expenses). Prepares payroll budgets, Rolling Plan and Original Plan with in-depth understanding of business trends and impacts; collaborates with multiple business units to ensure all store attributes and assumptions are incorporated. Acts as trusted advisor to business partners in providing financial support for workforce efficiency projects by manipulating and developing a payroll model and finding new ways to enhance forecast accuracy. Prepares and presents reporting and analysis related to s payroll to Store Operations and Finance senior leadership. Leads the Store Operations capital budgeting, monthly forecasting, and reporting. Develops complex business models and conducts ad hoc analysis to facilitate Executive decision-making for short and long term strategy.

About You:



You have a minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in financial planning, reporting and analysis; financial experience in a retail industry is an asset. A post-secondary education in related field (e.g. Business Administration, Mathematics/Statistics, Finance/Accounting); related professional designation (i.e. CPA or MBA) is considered an asset. Excellent knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), cost accounting, and retail operations with the skill to develop and lead tactical initiatives. Strong knowledge of the Financial cycle, including Original and Rolling Plans. Advanced problem-solving skills including analysis of information, research skills and knowledge of database design/data manipulation concepts Strong organizational skills including change management, time management, the ability to prioritize and multi-task with limited supervision and under time pressure; ability to work independently, accurately estimate time required to complete deliverables, and keep appropriate people informed of progress. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; able to develop collaborative relationships with team, internal, and external partners and effectively resolve conflicts that may arise. Excellent Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to present complex information in a concise manner, knowledge of accounting software, previous experience utilizing data analytics and budgeting tools (e.g. TM1, Power Bi). Genuine interest in continuous learning and development; excited to take on new challenges and volunteer for ad-hoc projects.

Salary Range: $74,752.50-$104,653.50 /year *This represents the expected hiring range and may not represent the full pay range for the position. The salary offered may be higher than the posted range depending on several factors such as relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
