Role overview



The Senior Financial Analyst will work closely with all aspects of our business, with a focus on corporate reporting. This role is based out of our Kitchener- Waterloo Brewery Hybrid: 3 days in the office/ 2 days from home.

What you'll be doing



Lead monthly review of internal financials with the Finance team. Completion of various month-end tasks including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and other ad hoc month-end tasks. Review of budget variances and determine root cause(s) for management reporting. Reporting financial results to Carlsberg Group (via HFM) Preparation of Management presentation of monthly financial results and actively participate in discussions. Providing written commentary to explain performance within these monthly management presentations. Management of annual Budget Process & Deliverables Leading OCM days (monthly cost management review) Financial support to the People & Culture, IT, and Legal teams Preparation of weekly Corporate Dashboards including high-level insights. Preparation and review of monthly Capital Asset Reporting Preparation of Stats Canada reporting Payment approval and authorization. Provide recommendations for process and workflow improvements as well as innovative and creative new ideas, including the development of analysis tools. Assist with ad-hoc projects as required and other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for



Bachelor's degree preferably in accounting, as well as a professional accounting designation, CPA is an asset. 3+ years' experience in a public accounting role Strong accounting knowledge and ability to research complex accounting issues in accordance with IFRS. Intermediate to expert knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint) Experience in a Consumer-Packaged Goods manufacturing environment (ideally within Food and Beverage) is an asset. Hands-on experience with accounting databases and ERP systems (MS Business Central)
