Senior Financial Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who will support the property management business unit to provide financial reporting and analysis for a portfolio of properties and legal entities in both Canada and the United States. This role will provide expertise in market trends, compliance, and recommendations around financial performance, and cost saving initiatives.

Key Responsibilities



Prepare financial reports, data and information required for business acumen. Supporting key performance indicators ("KPIs") on a regular basis with a regular reporting cadence. Assist with financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting. Analyze financial statements and reports; provide general analysis including variance analyses. Develop financial models and prepare projections, including forecasting and current market trends. Perform research and analysis to for new business opportunities. Forecast future revenues and expenditures, for ongoing operations and capital projects. Identify opportunities to improve accounting and reporting processes. Complete annual common area expense reconciliations for reporting to commercial tenants. Support our third-party stakeholders by quarterly and annual reporting required by our external lenders. Coordinate, collaborate, and liaise with the accounting team for alignment on timelines and projects. Assist with year-end review and compilation engagement requirements.

Education/Experience



University degree in finance or accounting. Minimum 3 years combined experience in accounting and finance Working towards CPA or CFA designation preferred. Advanced knowledge of Excel and MS Office applications (Word, Access, PowerPoint).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
