Lifemark is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical role in supporting our financial planning and analysis activities, with a primary focus on P&L analysis, forecasting, and planning. The successful candidate will play a key role in a dynamic and committed team, where everyone\xe2\x80\x99s contribution has a direct impact on the success of LHG. As a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A, you will collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization, including finance, operations, and senior leadership, to provide accurate and actionable insights into our financial performance and drive informed decision-making.
Reporting to the Senior Director, FP&A and based in our Toronto corporate headquarters, the Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A will have the following ongoing responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed P&L analysis on a monthly basis, identifying key drivers of financial performance and providing comprehensive explanations for variances to forecast, plan, and prior year.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and tools to support forecasting and planning activities, ensuring accuracy and consistency of data.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities, and communicate findings to management.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual plans and periodic forecasts, incorporating inputs from various business units and departments.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, particularly with clinic operations, to gain a comprehensive understanding of monthly clinic performance, identify key drivers of financial results, and recommend actionable strategies for improving clinic profitability.
  • Prepare analyses and reports for senior leadership, summarizing financial performance, forecasts, and key insights.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports, analyses and other duties as assigned to support strategic decision-making.

Requirements:
  • University degree in Business, Accounting, Commerce or related field
  • Pursuing a CPA is considered an asset
  • 1-3 years of experience in a financial analysis role
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Highly motivated with demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently
  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment in order to meet commitments and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and an appreciation and acumen for having detailed checks and balances in place
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Advanced computer skills in Excel; working knowledge of Power BI, SQL, Vena, and macros an asset
