JOB SUMMARY:

This role is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of the monthly financial reports, proactively providing high quality financial analysis and maintaining adequate process controls over the financial ledgers. As a core member of the Finance team, the Senior Financial Analyst will provide decision focused support to the leadership team for driving sustainable progress in our strategic initiatives.

SuperTrak is experiencing business expansion and as a result, a significant portion of this role will be dedicated to streamlining and scaling up existing processes as well as creating new processes that positively impact our financial performance. The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker who has the skills necessary to work across the organization to problem solve and execute process enhancements within our internal controls framework.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

FINANCIAL REPORTING AND ACCOUNTING

  • Perform month-end closing activities, including preparation of assigned account reconciliations, ensuring that all balance sheet accounts are reconciled regularly
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting and supporting analysis on a timely basis, in accordance with IFRS and the ATS Accounting Policy Manual. Ensure that financial results and variances are explained accurately, and areas of risk are identified
  • Maintain the financial components of the ERP systems ensuring data integrity. Provide subject matter expert support to other teams outside of finance related to the financial components of the ERP
  • Support accounting policy development and research as needed
FINANCIAL PLANNING AND BUSINESS SUPPORT
  • Initiate & implement follow-up measures to support the accomplishment of financial targets and highlight areas needing improvement
  • Support the development of the Annual Operating Plan and periodic forecasts
  • Develop and/or prepare ad hoc financial analysis and participate in special projects as assigned by the Controller
INTERNAL CONTROLS AND PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS
  • Assist with internal control documentation and ensure key controls assigned are completed
  • Ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to in a consistent manner within the division
  • Contribute to the improvement of existing management reporting and the design and development of new management reporting to improve the quality of information available to senior management
  • Cross train on other finance team tasks to ensure critical financial processes are covered during periods of vacation or other absences
HUMAN RESOURCES/ HEALTH AND SAFETY
  • Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct
  • Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures
Additional Information

Qualifications:

Education:
  • CPA Designation
  • A university degree or college diploma in business and/or accounting or equivalent business experience is required.
Relevant Experience and Skills:
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting and/or auditing experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical, financial reporting and accounting skills as well as a continuous improvement mindset are critical.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with people at all levels of the organization both verbally and in written form.
  • Must be hands-on, detail and results oriented and able to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge is required.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance in a collaborative, team-oriented, results driven work environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of an ERP system/JD Edwards and an enterprise-wide consolidation system/OneStream is preferred.
