Senior Financial Analyst \xe2\x80\x93 Financial Planning & Analysis (12 Month Contract) We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a talented & motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our diverse & vibrant team. R\xc3\xbcmi is a bright new member of the ATCO family and operates 3 lines of business under the R\xc3\xbcmi umbrella: R\xc3\xbcmi Products & Services, ATCOenergy and Blue Flame Kitchen Reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis, the Senior Financial Analyst will have the opportunity to be involved in the company\xe2\x80\x99s growth plan for R\xc3\xbcmi\xe2\x80\x99s various lines of business. This is a temporary full-time (12 month contract) position that includes providing financial analysis, forecasting, planning and performance reporting to the various R\xc3\xbcmi line of business. You will be working closely with a diverse mix of business, finance, marketing, and operational leaders to determine and analyze value-accretive plans that are needed to make strategic decisions to support our long-term business strategies. We are looking for a candidate who is highly motivated, analytical, logical thinker and who has a very strong attention to detail and likes challenges. Emphasis will be placed on having strong financial modelling skills and solid understanding of valuation concepts (i.e. CAGR, ROIC and IRR) to conduct research and analysis on projects, operations and assets, develop and evaluate growth initiatives. Being a strong team player is critical along with an ability to adapt to changing and complex requirements. In addition, we are also looking for someone who likes to develop their communication skills as this role will have opportunities to present to R\xc3\xbcmi\'s senior business leaders.   • Work with various business leaders to prepare the annual long term business plan, monthly forecasting process which includes consolidating and analyzing inputs from the business.
  • Oversee and facilitate the capital requirements process for business planning and forecasting which includes working with project owners to complete CEAR and business case.
  • Analyze and identify historic trends and financial metrics that will help the business in making key decisions.
  • Integral player in executing strategic business valuations to support company\xe2\x80\x99s growth plans
  • Design and implement improvements in performance reporting, planning processes and deliverables.
  • Work with business leaders, functional heads, operations, finance and commercial teams to review opportunities, including providing research and analysis to help guide corporate strategic decision making.
  • Perform and build valuation models to identify the projects\xe2\x80\x99 CAGR, ROIC and IRR.
  • Identify and understand key business value drivers and performance measurements.
  • Work with operations, accounting, and various internal groups to build operating revenue and cost models for analysis of existing line of businesses.
  • Support development of project options, financial analysis and modeling and consideration of economic costs and benefits for various growth initiatives and complex financial products and instruments.
  • Prepare presentations and clearly communicate key findings to RUMI\xe2\x80\x99s senior business leaders to help them in making strategic decisions.

What you have:
  • Post-Secondary Degree in Business/Economics, Finance, Accounting, or other relevant post-secondary education.
  • Financial Designation is required, preferably CPA or CA.
  • Minimum of 5+years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in either of these areas: financial planning and forecasting (preferred), corporate development or corporate finance is required.
  • Experience with month end and working knowledge of Oracle Cloud Applications is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of accounting concepts and principles is required.
  • Must demonstrate out of the box thinking with strong analytical, interpersonal, communication and time management abilities.
  • Organized with strong self and team management skills, and able to simultaneously manage and execute on multiple assignments.
  • Ability to understand, dissect and analyze growth proposals and/or business cases, and propose smart solutions.
  • Strong business acumen and possess sound and practical judgement.
  • A solid understanding of valuation and financial accounting concepts.
  • Advanced financial modelling experience with the capacity to develop such models independently with minimal guidance.
  • Excellent presentation skills, written and verbal with experience in writing and presenting financial analysis.
  • High attention to detail, organized and thorough with the ability to adapt and manage change well.
  • Industry experience in either energy or product services is an asset.
