Quantifi is a Calgary based financial technology company operating two subsidiaries: Quantifi Lending and Credit App.
Quantifi Lending is a national bank alternative consumer lender. Using advanced data science, we better understand applicants allowing us to offer lower interest rates than Schedule 1 banks. We operate as a lender primarily in the automotive space.
Credit App is an infrastructure software company. Our platform helps lenders improve their credit application workflows and data quality per application. Digital retailing, direct to consumer and in-store financing workflows are supported by our platform. Our API integrations enable third parties to utilize our platform to offer customers personalized experiences.

Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst will work closely with the Director of Finance to assist with all accounting and finance operations of the company. This will include maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, financial reporting and the implementation of a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk. In addition, this role will be involved in collaborating with other departments on various tasks such as budgeting, forecasting, SR&ED reporting and other ad hoc activities. The ideal candidate for this new role at Quantifi is someone who can work independently to continuously identify areas of improvement in processes and implement solutions.
Accountabilities:

  • Own the preparation of month end, quarter end and annual financial statements and ensure they are ASPE compliant.
  • Prepare management discussion and analysis for all entities.
  • Help the Director of Finance with managing treasury and cash management activities.
  • Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions, including ongoing assessment of systems and working with other team members to improve team efficiencies.
  • Assist with internal and external reporting and ensure it is done timely and accurately. The stakeholders are internal users/executives, bankers, investors and auditors.
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of the company forecast model, including variance analysis.
  • Provide financial analyses as needed, including for pricing decisions and contract negotiations.
  • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.
  • Assist with all accounting functions as needed including monthly reconciliations, recording of routine accounting entries and procurement (AP)Assist with the management and filing of financial applications for government grants, including SR&ED.
  • Other ad hoc projects as the company grows.

Qualifications
  • CPA designation required.
  • 4-5 years of professional experience in an accounting role. Public accounting experience would be considered an asset.
  • A self-starter who is excited to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Experience working in a role requiring problem solving and attention to detail.
  • Experience in financial analysis and creating accounting workbooks required
  • Experience with banking and treasury functions, financial modelling as well as ASPE would be considered an asset.
