Your opportunity

Our Toronto Business Restructuring and Turnaround Services practice requires a Senior Analyst to work as part of our team on corporate restructuring engagements.

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, be organized, professional and be able to function both independently and within a team environment. Candidate must be able to work within a fast-paced and confidential environment, be flexible and adaptable to meet multiple requirements of the role as well as:

  • Analyzing financial data, reviewing financial models and accounting records;
  • Assessing companies\xe2\x80\x99 current financial position, business plans and financial forecasts;
  • Preparing integrated cash flow models;
  • Assisting the team in advising corporations, lenders, creditors, shareholders, regulators or the Courts through financial reviews, business turnarounds and financial restructurings (formal or informal);
  • Participating in practice development opportunities; and
  • Flexibility to meet stakeholders and work during non-business hours.

Your experience and education
  • 2 -3 years of experience in a professional services firm or in performing financial analysis for a company
  • Experience in the corporate restructuring field is an asset, but not essential
  • Proven analytical and systematic problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
  • Enrolled or willing to enroll in the Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) program
  • CPA accounting and/or senior finance designation required
  • Candidate must have access to reliable transportation, as travel to other BDO offices and off-site locations may be required.
