Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced

Senior Financial Accountant

to join our Calgary-based Finance team. This role supports financial accuracy, compliance, and strategic insights across resort and real estate operations. Occasional travel to Canmore and Invermere may be required.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain general ledgers and record transactions across multiple systems. Manage monthly close processes and support internal/external reporting. Prepare and analyze financial statements for resort entities. Deliver KPI reports and project-specific financial insights. Perform account reconciliations and ensure ledger accuracy. Assist with budgeting and forecasting in collaboration with finance and development teams. Identify and implement process improvements and system upgrades. Work cross-functionally with operations, development, and procurement teams. Oversee direct reports and provide leadership across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll functions.

Qualifications

CPA designation preferred with 3-5 years post-designation experience. Proficient in Sage Intacct, Sage Construction, and advanced Excel. Strong project accounting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities. Ability to adapt, prioritize, and maintain confidentiality.
