Through our leadership in connected lighting and the Internet of Things, we\xe2\x80\x99re breaking new grounds in data analytics, AI, and smart homes, offices, cities and more!Signify is one of the few companies in the world to achieve carbon neutrality and our next sustainability goals are even bolder: doubling our positive impact on the environment and society by 2025.As a Senior Final Assembler you\xe2\x80\x99ll be responsible for performing manual labor and set up in the assembly of lighting fixtures and related parts using hand and air tools and a variety of related production machinery.Rate: $19.58 per hourShift: 6:30am to 3:00pm (Monday to Friday)Union EnvironmentWhat you\xe2\x80\x99ll doEfficient and safe use of hand, power and measuring tools along with efficient and safe operation and set up of production equipment and machineryAssemble and sub assemble lighting fixtures and related components (mechanical and electrical). Test and package assemblies and componentsMake inventory transactions with the efficient use of scanners and computer equipmentProvide assistance to Engineering on proto-types and New Product Development and Planning with materials/inventory management along with providing assistance and making recommendations to Manufacturing Engineering and Continuous Improvement TeamsDirect, assist and train Final AssemblersOperate within Safety Policies, ISO Regulations, Work Station Instructions and Quality Standards as dictated in engineering drawings. Responsible for work station organization, cleanliness and maintenance of tools and equipment; maintains 5S principles and standardsAct as lead hand and/or back up lead hand as requiredAssist in other departments and work cells as requiredYour qualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredBasic reading, writing and arithmetic skills requiredManual dexterity required for assembly and machine operations. Ability to fulfill physical requirements including standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of timeExperience as a Final Assembler possessing full proficiency in all duties and tasksFull understanding of all department related paperwork. Good communication skills.Good clerical ability and able to read and work from drawingsBasic computer skills for inventory transactions, data entry and record keepingAble to pass practical Sub Assembly TestWorking conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves lifting of materials and product up to 30 lbs and standing for a prolonged period of time. Environment and machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to safety glasses, gloves and steel toed work shoes/boots.
