One-year full-time contract

$20.50 per hour

If so, Science North, Northern Ontario's most popular tourist attraction, is looking for you to join its' Facility Operations team.



As a Senior Facility Labourer, you will be expected to supervise/direct facility operations' daily, monthly, and quarterly duties; establish priorities, and determine daily tasks for the facility operations team, under the supervision of Senior Manager, Facilities Operations.



You will train and mentor junior staff and be able to effectively work independently. You will additionally operate effectively and efficiently as part of the facilities staff to provide labour duties and general support in all areas of Facility Operations.



Your time will be spent....

Performing special events set up and tear downs Cleaning organizing, and maintaining storage areas Performing basic repairs to equipment Moving, delivering, loading and unloading equipment and supplies, including frequent driving for errands/deliveries Performing seasonal grounds maintenance Assisting in installation of offices and furniture, desks, partitions (using hand powered tools) Assisting with light facility infrastructure duties eg. minor repairs to furniture and fixtures, basic plumbing, such as clogs or small leaks

You will have...

General labour experience The ability to do heavy physical work including lifting, bending, and extended periods of walking and standing Familiarity with basic tools and safety protocols Ability to be insured under Science North auto policy including: G-class drivers license, 3-year clean drivers abstract (non-negotiable) Ability to work full-time weekdays with additional availability for some weekend rotations and evenings

This is role is based out of our main facility at 100 Ramsey Lake Road, Sudbury and requires exclusively work onsite work.
