Teine is currently seeking a
Senior
Exploitation Engineer
to become a key part of our dynamic team. This role will focus on our
Viking
asset providing technical expertise to identify and develop exploitation opportunities, optimize reservoir performance, and drive innovative solutions for maximizing production and capital efficiency. As a key contributor, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement development strategies, evaluate economic opportunities, and support decision-making for future growth.
Responsibilities for Teine's Viking Asset:
Identify and develop exploitation opportunities and reservoir depletion strategies
Selection and planning of yearly capital well programs
Owner of Drill Schedule, responsible for the scheduling of the capital drill program on up to 4 rigs; accounting for efficient rig moves, regulatory, operational and surface & mineral land implications
Monitor surface land acquisition and well licensing status to ensure D&C activity is executed on schedule
Reviewing all Viking directional plans and frac tallies
Management of Exploitation non-DCET budget (sleeve shifts, skin fracs, pilot projects)
Collaborate closely with Drilling, Completions, and Operations teams to optimize future results, maximize existing production, and coordinate operational activities.
Run development scenario economics to determine the most economic way to develop Teine's land (well lengths, spacing, orientations, EOR development)
Budget production forecasting and type curve validation
Evaluation of land sale properties, pooling agreements and non-op activity
Prepare presentations for senior management on topics related to development
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university; must hold APEGA P.Eng. designation.
8+ years of oil and gas engineering experience, with a preference for candidates experienced in Viking resource plays
Essential experience in reserves and resource evaluation
Strong proficiency in Accumap/Geoscout, Microsoft Office, Spotfire, and Valnav software is required
Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Results-oriented, strategic, decisive, and self-motivated, with excellent attention to detail
Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
