We have an excellent opportunity in our Global Corporate & Specialty (GCS) Property Claims team. We are actively recruiting for a Senior Claims Examiner. GCS is an exciting and fast-growing area within Aviva. Our clientele consists of some of the largest risks in North America. Our claims service proposition provides our clientele with bespoke claims\' service that is underpinned with dedicated file handlers who deliver expertise and professionalism at every step of the claims journey. We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a customer focused claims professional with a consistent record and comfort handling moderate to complex commercial losses to join our team!

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

Deliver an exceptional and consistent claims service through fair and equitable adjustment and examining of GCS Property claims which could include moderate to complex property claims.

You will support the GCS claims strategy by living our values and approaching your work in a client centered approach.

You will leverage your experience and expertise to pro-actively investigate, evaluate, negotiate and settle both subscription and non-subscription Commercial Property claims on Aviva Enterprise and/or Broker Manuscript wordings.

You will interpret policy wordings and provide a detailed coverage analysis to determine claim coverage using background knowledge combined with a thorough understanding of Commercial Property wordings.

You will leverage your experience and expertise to identify and assess our exposure using all necessary resources to ensure accurate and timely reserving in accordance with Aviva reserving protocols.

You will direct, collaborate, set instructions and set expectations with independent adjusters through critical examination of their activities.

You will analyze all Independent Adjuster reports produced and determine further action needed and ensure the claim file is well documented while also ensuring all policy conditions are appropriately applied.

You will ensure vendors and Third Party Administrators(TPA\xe2\x80\x99s) and External Independent Adjusters adhere to company policies and procedures (i.e. Regulatory requirements, use of Contracted service providers)

You will conduct timely reviews and analysis of External IA and vendor reports to ensure proper disposition of claims to ensure effective control and management of indemnity and expenses incurred.

You will Telephone adjust low-moderate complexity non-subscription clams directly with customers and leverage field adjusters in accordance with guidelines.

You will deliver claim services in accordance with client specific claims handling procedures.

You may act as a dedicated adjuster on key accounts or programs and participate in regular claims stewardship or risk management meetings.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll bring:

2 + years of handling moderate complexity Commercial Property Claims (Field adjusting + Claims Examiner); with a strong knowledge of Commercial Lines Property policies, including Manuscript wordings

You will have a CIP designation or be actively working towards your designation

You will have a University degree, College Diploma or equivalent work experience.

Adjuster License (PEI, New Brunswick, Newfoundland) or be able to obtain

A positive attitude that will contribute to our customer proposition.

Technical competence in Commercial insurance

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent Critical thinking skills

Computer proficiency; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Guidewire ClaimCenter

Technical Proficiency with Guidewire ClaimCenter and estimating tool Corelogic

Sound decision making and problem-solving skills
