Position: Senior ETL - Software Developer
Duration: 5 Months assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement - B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.
About the Engagement
Akkodis is seeking a Senior ETL - Software Developer to design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise-grade data integration, data warehousing, and analytics environments. The role focuses heavily on ETL design, data modelling, SQL development, cloud-based data engineering, and end-to-end data pipeline optimization.
Scope
Analyze business and technical changes impacting data ingestion, transformation, and distribution.
Document impacts to data pipelines, data models, data warehouse layers, scheduling dependencies, cloud services, and business reporting.
Assess technology stack impacts across Azure, AWS, Databricks, and associated tooling.
Provide detailed effort estimates and contribute to sprint planning and delivery schedule validation.
Assignment Deliverables
Data pipeline impact assessments and updated risk registers.
Updated architecture artifacts, ETL design documents, data model diagrams, source-to-target maps, and DevOps documentation.
Developed and unit-tested ETL pipelines, SQL scripts, and data transformations.
Release packages, deployment notes, and updated release change logs.
Expertise Required
Must Have:
Experience with Microsoft Azure technologies: Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, Power BI.
Experience with Databricks platform.
Experience with AWS data and analytics services: Amazon Aurora, Amazon RDS, Glue, OpenSearch, etc.
Experience developing daily and initial-load ETL programs for structured & semi-structured data, relational & multidimensional data stores.
Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining ETL scheduling and dependency logic.
Strong experience with data integration, cleansing, analytics, and data quality processes.
Experience with data modelling and design principles for data marts and data warehouses.
Nice to Have:
Knowledge of AODA and related accessibility standards.
Experience designing Power BI dashboards, KPIs, and report solutions.
Experience developing with C#, including APIs, Azure Functions, microservices, etc.
