Position: Senior ETL - Software Developer
Duration: 1 Year assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement - B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.
About the Engagement
We are seeking an experienced Senior ETL - Software Developer to design, implement, and optimize data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and related technologies. The role involves translating technical specifications into tested applications, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting CSC release and infrastructure sustainment activities.
Scope
Design and expand ETL pipelines for extraction, transformation, and loading activities.
Translate technical specifications into working applications, including coding, testing, and debugging.
Troubleshoot technical issues during software operation and assist with implementation and migrations.
Support urgent priorities, infrastructure upgrades, and sustainment activities across CSC platforms.
Assignment Deliverables
Develop ETL solutions for data warehouses and business intelligence reporting.
Create and maintain documentation, release packages, and deployment instructions.
Conduct unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
Collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure high-quality data delivery.
Expertise Required
Must Have:
5-10 years of experience designing and implementing ETL solutions using Azure Data Factory.
Strong experience with SQL Server, Azure Blob, Azure SQL Database, and Oracle platforms.
Proficiency in complex SQL queries, UNIX shell scripting, and Power Designer for data modeling.
Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and code packaging.
Ability to design star schema multi-dimensional models and debug ETL mappings and transformations.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Informatica PowerCenter or similar ETL tools.
Familiarity with AODA accessibility standards and compliance requirements.
Knowledge of middleware, gateways, and rapid application development methodologies.
Previous public sector experience and familiarity with GO-ITS standards.
