Job Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in preparing accurate project estimates, managing bid processes, and collaborating with project teams to ensure successful project execution. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, utilizing advanced estimating tools and techniques. The Senior Estimator will be instrumental in driving profitable project outcomes by providing detailed and competitive bids while maintaining strong client relationships.

Duties



Prepare estimates of probable costs of materials, labour and equipment for construction projects based on contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings and specifications Update cost rates for labour, equipment and other items as required Advise on tendering procedures, examine and analyze tenders, recommend tender awards and conduct negotiations Establish and maintain tendering process and set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures Prepare cost and expenditure statements and forecasts at regular intervals for the duration of a project Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors, and prepare economic feasibility studies on changes and adjustments to cost estimates Manage and co-ordinate construction projects and prepare construction progress schedules.

Qualifications



Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and materials. Proficiency in Bluebeam, Bid2 Win, and other estimating or project management software. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to establish favorable terms with clients and subcontractors. Strong project management capabilities to coordinate multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines. Solid knowledge of pricing strategies within the construction industry. Effective communication skills for collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders. Ability to interpret complex drawings, specifications, and contractual documents. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, or Civil Engineering is required and a minimum of seven years experience. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
