AECOM is actively seeking a Senior Environmental Professional - Remediation to join our growing Western Canada remediation and reclamation team in Edmonton, AB. We are looking for candidates that are enthusiastic, team-oriented professionals with a strong technical background. In this role, you will work with our experienced team of remediation professionals on various projects with mining, waste management, oil and gas, industrial, municipal, provincial and federal clients.

This position is a full-time role.

  • Exhibiting personal safety leadership in the oversight and execution of all work.
  • Development and management of client-facing relationships.
  • Providing leadership and technical expertise in support of ongoing AECOM remediation and reclamation projects, including the review of work scopes and client deliverables
  • Accountability for project performance and compliance with project delivery expectations.
  • Demonstrating creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual project delivery and technical problems.
  • Development of strategic proposals and budgets in support of work opportunities.
  • Regularly communicate with regulators, clients, and other AECOM technical staff/project managers.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in a relevant engineering (Civil, Chemical, Environmental etc.) or sciences discipline (Environmental Sciences, etc.) + 4 years of experience in remediation and/ or reclamation projects.
  • 4 or more years of environmental consulting experience, specifically Phase I, II and III Environmental Site Assessments and Remediation projects
  • Valid Driver\'s License
Preferred Qualifications :
  • Professional Engineer, Geologist or Environmental Scientist registered in Alberta and/or Nunavut and Northwest Territories.
  • Experience in Site Supervision and Contract Management/Administration.
  • Ideally 10+ years of consulting and/or industry experience.
  • Proven track record with regulatory advocacy and obtaining site closure.
  • Ability to apply environmental quality guidelines to data collected from various media and land uses.
  • Experience developing and implementing project scheduling, monitoring and tracking systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Strong client management skills.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in building working relationships and participating in multidiscipline teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel and Word.
  • Can-do, positive attitude and an ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
