Senior Environmental Planner

Hatch is currently looking for Environmental Planners who are ready to take their career to the next level. Qualifications and Experience:

• A Bachelor\'s Degree in Environmental Planning or related discipline;
• 10 years of relevant experience;
• Experience in the application of environmental assessment processes;
• Knowledge and experience in obtaining environmental permits and approvals requirements, natural heritage policies and protocols and environmental legislation; and
• Experience in engaging with clients.

The Role:

• Engage with clients to develop and execute work plans;
• Manage baseline environmental studies, environmental assessments, environmental management strategies, and plans including research, report writing, field work, and stakeholder and regulatory consultation;
• Coordinate work with other environmental specialists (i.e. noise, air, archaeology, built heritage, fisheries, terrestrial ecologists, etc.).
• Collect and synthesize scientific literature, existing data sets and secondary source material for technical reports;
• Lead and support permitting, and approvals related to the natural environment (e.g., Environmental Protection Act, Fisheries Act, Impact Assessment Act); and
• Deliver high-quality environmental services to agreed budgets and deadlines.
