About the Role

We're looking for an experienced

Environmental Training Instructor / Consultant

to help deliver a multi-year environmental and safety training program for federal and public-sector personnel.

You'll design, facilitate, and lead engaging courses that strengthen environmental awareness, compliance, and operational readiness. Training is delivered both

virtually and in-person

, covering topics such as:

Environmental responsibilities & leadership Course Hazardous materials management Course Spill prevention & response Training Environmental management systems (ISO 14001 / CSA Z1000) Training EH&S Management System Plans Training Hazardous Materials Reference Application (HMRA) Training Storage tank Systems (STS) inspections & related compliance training Unit Hazardous Materials Coordinator (UHMC) Course Unit Environment Officer (U Env O) Course

What You'll Do

Deliver interactive environmental and safety training (-2 days per session)
Develop lesson plans and practical exercises for adult learners
Update course materials and job aids (slides, manuals, digital content)
Assess learner progress and issue completion certificates
Coordinate with our team on scheduling, materials, and content updates

What We're Looking For

?

Experience:

At least

2 years (40+ days)

of adult training delivery in environmental or HSE fields within the last 3 years
?

Expertise:

Strong background in environmental management, hazardous materials, or sustainability
?

Education:

Diploma or degree in Environmental Science, OHS, Engineering, or related field
?

Instructional Skills:

Proven ability to engage adult learners (Train-the-Trainer, PID, CTDP an asset)
?

Bonus:

Familiarity with public-sector or defense environments and bilingual (EN/FR) delivery

Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
