What Your Day Will Look Like:

As a Senior Environmental Assessment (EA) Specialist and Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading environmental impact assessments for major infrastructure, transportation, and industrial projects. Your role will involve planning, coordinating, and executing EA processes while ensuring regulatory compliance and sustainability. You will interact with clients, government agencies, and Indigenous communities to facilitate environmental approvals and project success. Your day will include managing interdisciplinary teams, overseeing environmental studies, and contributing to innovative environmental planning solutions. Additionally, you will support business development efforts by preparing proposals, attending industry events, and strengthening client relationships. You will also play a vital role in mentoring junior staff and driving forward the best practices in environmental management.
What You'll Do:

Lead Environmental Assessments under federal, provincial, and municipal regulatory frameworks.
Manage environmental permitting and approvals processes.
Manage multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality environmental studies.
Develop engagement strategies and lead engagement with Indigenous groups, communities, and stakeholders.
Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and documentation for regulatory submissions.
Provide strategic advice on environmental risk management.
Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development efforts.
Monitor changes in environmental legislation and provide regulatory updates to teams.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop sustainability and climate resilience strategies within EA processes.
Manage projects including technical work delivery, budget, schedule, and communications.
Build and maintain internal and external client relationships, and work with the senior leadership team to help drive the business plan.
Occasional travel and overtime may be required.
What You'll Need:
:
Bachelor's or master's degree in environmental science, planning, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in Environmental Assessment and permitting.
Strong knowledge of federal, provincial, and municipal EA legislation.
Experience managing large, complex projects and interdisciplinary teams.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Experience in Indigenous engagement and relationship-building.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously as well as all aspects of project development and delivery (i.e., proposal through to deliverables, including time and budget management).
Valid Ontario driver's license is required.
