We are looking for a Senior Civil / Structural engineer to join our team in York, giving you the opportunity to co-create on some of the most prestigious infrastructure programmes in the UK.

On a day-to-day basis, you\'ll be responsible for:
Feasibility and options reports; supervising and coordinating projects from feasibility to detailed design, as design lead, including site supervision where required
Project management, including cost/commercial and programme aspects of projects
Ensuring that design, assessments and checking of designs are in accordance with the current Standards, Codes of Practice and Best Practice
Checking of drawings and supervision of Graduate Engineers
Liaison with clients, attending meetings on-site, progress meetings and design review meetings

Furthermore, you\'ll:
Be a chartered civil or structural engineer (MICE, MIStructE or equivalent)
Have experience in a design environment working on rail, tunnels, heavy civil, bridges or other complex structures in the UK or internationally
Have the inter-personal skills and aptitude to work collaboratively in a diverse multi-disciplinary team
Have good communication skills, both verbal and written
Be a technically skilled engineer, able to demonstrate a deep understanding and enthusiasm for civil/structural/rail engineering and a personal commitment to technical excellence
Ideally, have experience preforming designer\xe2\x80\x99s PM tasks under NEC3/4 to coordinate the effective delivery of a design scheme.
Preferably have experience of design, inspection, assessment or repair schemes associated with Network Rail and Highways assets (UTX, URX) and/or experience in working with utilities providers and water authorities.
Previous experience as a CRE would be preferable.
