Location: Montreal OR Toronto (hybrid, 2 days/week in office)
Estimated Mandate Duration: 12 to 18 months

Required Experience: Aerospace experience is mandatory (powerplants, avionics, mechanical, systems engineering)
Responsibilities:
Act as a systems engineer for pneumatic discipline activities
Ensure integration and interface management of assigned systems
Define pneumatic system architecture, write specifications and requirements
Conduct functional modeling and trade studies
Manage requirements, validation and verification
Oversee suppliers from both technical and project perspectives
Approve design documents (vendor drawings, test procedures, qualification reports...)
Document analysis, ground and flight test results
Prepare technical reports to demonstrate regulatory compliance
Support the build and operation of test platforms
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve issues
Propose design modifications and optimized solutions
Support production and in-service teams
Ensure adherence to program schedule and milestones
Contribute to the Engineering System of the company
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering
10 to 15 years of relevant technical experience
Strong knowledge of fluid flow and thermodynamics
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Basic knowledge in pneumatics and related disciplines
Familiarity with component qualification (DO-160, Mil-Std 810)
Knowledge of Design Process Assurance (ARP4754A)
Experience in functional modeling and system performance testing
Comfortable with engineering and project management aspects
Proficient in MS Office tools
Knowledge of design tools such as CATIA, Model-Based Engineering or simulation software
Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated, dynamic and effective communicator
Willingness to travel for short-term assignments
Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset

Pay: $68.00-$73.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
